Annabooks Releases New Book: Starter Guide for STM32Cube™ and Eclipse ThreadX®

Use the STM32Cube tools to get ThreadX up and running on STM32 MCUs and connect to the Cloud

Rancho Mirage, Calif., Sept. 6, 2024 – Annabooks is excited to announce the release of Starter Guide for STM32Cube™ and Eclipse ThreadX® written by Sean D. Liming and John R. Malin. Expanding on the series of IoT MCU articles, this book provides a foundation for learning the STM32Cube™ tools from STMicroelectronics and integrating Eclipse ThreadX to build products that connect to Azure Cloud Services.

“We continue our silicon-to-cloud series with a dive into Eclipse ThreadX running on STMicroelectronics STM32 ARM-based processors, and by addressing two questions that came out of the IoT MCU articles”, says Sean D. Liming, co-author. “Creating a ThreadX project from scratch using the STM32Cube from STMicroelectronics is relatively straight forward, but the extra steps to integrate the Azure IoT C SDK and connect to Azure were eye opening.”

The book has 16 hands-on projects to get you familiar with developing ThreadX projects using the STM32Cube tools. The first 4 chapters cover the background, tools, and other details needed to complete the projects in the book. The next six chapters build upon several projects to learn the STM32Cube tools and the ThreadX RTOS with the final project connecting to Azure. The remaining chapters cover other STM32 and ThreadX features. Project files are downloadable from the Annabooks website.

The Printed book is priced at $34.95 and is available at Barnes & Noble and other bookstores.
